PEORIA POTTERY CO. : STONEWAR FRUIT JAR According to the Peoria City Directory, the Peoria Pottery Company started in 1864. John Bryner was the proprietor of the Peoria Pottery Company. In 1902 the pottery company was sold to The Crown Pottery Company of Evansville, Ind. This firm would close by 1904. There are various sizes & shapes of this grooved wax sealer. Below is one of them.
