F. HAKE & CO : FORT WAYNE BEER BOTTLE F. Hake & Co. was located at 18 to 28 Wells Dr. Fort Wayne, Ind. This company is listed in the 1885 Fort Wayne City Directory as distributors. It's stated that "It's the best brand of beer in the U. S. market. Niagara Falls, Milwaukee and Cincinnati, Soda, Mineral Waters, Birch Beer, Ginger Ale, Seltzer water. Beer in keg and bottles". Below is a photo of their hard to find amber beer bottle. Embossing reads FT. WAYNE / F. HAKE & CO. / BOTTLING WORKS ( in a slug plate) // THIS BOTTLE NOT TO BE SOLD (base reads) C & CO.
